Company Overview
About Divergent
Divergent Technologies, Inc. is a Torrance, California–based advanced manufacturing company founded in 2014 by Kevin Czinger. Its core product, the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS™), is the world's first end-to-end digital manufacturing platform that integrates generative design software, additive manufacturing (3D printing), and automated assembly into a single repeatable factory system. DAPS enables customers to produce lightweight, high-strength structures without the tooling investments required by traditional manufacturing.
Business Model & Competitive Advantage
Originally focused on luxury automotive customers including Aston Martin, Bugatti, and McLaren, Divergent pivoted heavily toward aerospace and defense beginning in 2022. By 2025 the company had contracts with General Atomics, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and Triumph Group, covering individual sustainment parts and full airframe systems. Revenue grew more than 5x in 2025 alone, and Divergent introduced over 200 new aerospace and defense part numbers in the first half of 2025, bringing its total catalog to more than 600 unique parts.
Competitive Landscape 2025–2026
In September 2025, Divergent closed a $290 million Series E round at a $2.3 billion valuation, led by Rochefort Asset Management. The round accelerates the company's capacity to meet surging US defense production demand and expand its digital manufacturing platform to additional defense contractors and commercial aerospace customers.
